KNYG at the Hessenschau - from Hesse to the USA
We knew our flexible stainless steel straws were capable of something – but the fact that they made it onto TV was a bit of a shock, even for us.
This week, a TV report aired about our small, fine start-up – and since then, a lot has been happening with us.

Why this article is so special for us
We are a small team from Hesse with a big idea: a drinking straw that is not only reusable, but also flexible and stylish – without any disposables and compromises.
The fact that our straws are now even landing on the US market and have been featured on the Hessenschau TV show? This is a true milestone for us.
But what came next was even better: lots of new people who discovered KNYG, asked questions, placed enthusiastic orders, or simply left a kind word.
We are thrilled about the support we've received from this post – and about everyone who joins us on our journey toward less waste and more style in their glass.
Your many creative ideas, such as the personalization of straws, show us that you are thinking ahead at KNYG – and we are working on making more possible, step by step.
We want to clarify one thing briefly: engraving is possible – but only with the set of 6
In this post, we also talk about the possibility of custom engraving our straws – and many of you have included your wishes directly in the order notes.
First of all: We love your ideas!
However, we can currently only engrave our 6-piece gift set . We have an engraving configurator on our website where you can customize everything: font, placement, and text. Unfortunately, we don't currently have this option for all other sets (such as the 4-piece or 8-piece set), so engraving is currently not possible.
We'd rather be honest: Without a configurator, we simply don't know exactly how you imagine the engraving – and we don't want to deliver a result that isn't 100% accurate.
Thank you, Hesse – and everyone else!
We're grateful for all the support—whether through an order, a recommendation, or simply because you like our idea. Thanks also to the Hessenschau team for the great article and the platform.
Stay clean, stay sustainable – and above all: stay bendable.
Knyg, clean, repeat. ♻️
