Turtleneck Straw becomes KNYG – Why we changed our name
You might’ve noticed:
Turtleneck Straw is now KNYG.
And you’re probably wondering: Why?
What’s changed? What’s stayed the same?
And seriously – how do you even pronounce that?
Let’s start from the beginning: The bend that started it all
Back in 2020, we launched Turtleneck Straw with one goal:
To create a reusable straw that actually works.
One that bends to fit any glass, is easy to clean – and finally says goodbye to plastic waste.
The name? A tribute to the bend.
The look? Stainless steel in sleek colors.
The mission? Sustainable sipping – without the buzzkill.
The next step: KNYG
Three years, thousands of straws, and tons of customer feedback later, we knew:
It’s time to level up.
More clarity. More punch. More recognition.
KNYG isn’t a tongue-twister.
It’s short for everything we stand for:
Bend. Sip. Enjoy. Clean. Repeat.
Modern. Minimal. Memorable.
Just like our straws.
And yes – you say it like "knick".
Exactly like the clever little bend that makes our straw so special.
What stays | What changes |
---|---|
Our bendable straws | The name |
Our quality | A brand-new website |
Dishwasher safety | |
Our vision |
Still us. Just sharper.
With a look that reflects what we stand for:
Durable. Premium. Smart.
Why this matters to you?
Because you no longer have to choose between “practical” and “pretty.”
Because finding us just got easier – in the shop, at events, or your favorite café.
And because KNYG stands for what really counts:
Less waste. More style. More impact.
